After returning to France, Arnaud became an instructor for a French Marine Infantry Regiment. Arnaud discovered Ninjutsu (Budô Taijutsu) through Sylvian Guintard June of 1984. In 1990 Arnaud Cousergue began traveling to Japan and has since directed the growth of the Bujinkan in France and in other countries. In 1989 Arnaud received his Shidôshi license and since then has received his 15th dan in Budô Taijutsu. Arnaud Cousergue has also received a Menkyo Kaiden in Fûgyô Happô Biken in 2002 and a Menkyo Kaiden in Tachi Waza in 2004. Arnaud Cousergue over the years has assisted in many Taikai (international training sessions) and remains in constant contact with Hatsumi Sensei by traveling to Japan several times a year.
